Sealshot 0.7.1
Released July 16, 2026 · Download
A polish release across the editor, recording, and security — led by one app-wide undo timeline.
What’s new since 0.7.0
Section titled “What’s new since 0.7.0”Editor
Section titled “Editor”- One undo timeline — images, videos, metadata edits, and selection are all undoable steps, and each undo names what it undid. See Undo that survives relaunch.
- Free Arrow — draw an arrow along any path, alongside the straight Line Arrow.
- Outline colors — pen, line, arrow, shape, step, and text annotations can carry a casing color with its own width control, so marks stay readable on any background.
- Text tool overhaul — weight slider, per-tool color and opacity memory, a visible text-box frame with resize dots, and typography remembered across launches.
- Color-faithful export — captures render and export without lightened text.
- Duplicate a capture from the editor, the recent strip, or the Library.
- Dragging a capture with a focus area to Finder exports just that area.
- Extract Structured Data results appear in one consolidated view, exports default to the image’s name, cancelling takes effect immediately, and extraction uses the enhanced on-device model when it’s downloaded.
- The toolbar and tabs freeze during blocking AI actions; navigating away cancels the action.
- Fit Width / Fit Height no longer leave a stray scrollbar, and a remembered video reopens with its player panel in place.
Capture & OCR
Section titled “Capture & OCR”- OCR recognizes non-Latin scripts, with automatic language detection.
- Smart Redaction catches more — 2FA backup-code grids, role names, ticket IDs, masked card numbers, and street addresses. See Smart Redaction.
- A cancelled capture no longer raises the editor over the app you were using.
Recording
Section titled “Recording”- The recording HUD shows a Recording/Paused label beside its status icon.
- The record prompt appears over full-screen apps, on the display being recorded.
- System and microphone audio are recorded at native 48 kHz.
- Each recording shortcut stops only its own recording mode, and a finished recording is selected automatically in the recent strip.
Library
Section titled “Library”- Resize the Quick Look preview with the −/+ buttons, and grid tiles with ⌘-scroll.
- Play a video straight from its play badge in the strip; clicking the thumbnail opens it paused.
- Drag multiple captures to Finder with a progress bar and Cancel.
- Empty Trash clears the Trash in one click, and multi-select stays fast in large libraries.
Security
Section titled “Security”- Idle auto-lock follows system-wide idle time, not just activity inside the app.
- Menus and keyboard shortcuts are gated while the library is locked.
- Turning encryption on or off shows reliable progress and no longer damages video packages.
- Deleted items are kept 7 days by default before being purged, and the retention setting applies reliably to every trashed item.
- Your own tags are preserved when Smart Keywords are regenerated.
